The Spartus 185 Easy MIG is suitable for welding elements from about 0,6 mm up to 10 mm. It's designed for welding steel alloys like stainless steel, acid resistant steel or mild steel. It can be used for MIG welding with shield gas but also for gasless welding with flux core wire and stick welding with a coated electrode.
IGBT - the modern bipolar transistors, providing minimum electromagnetic interference and low power loss. They increase efficiency and extend the reliability of the power source. They enable high switching frequency, thus providing the instant current adjustment to changes in parameters during welding.
2T/4T - in the case of a double-stroke, after pressing the start button, the welding process commence, and after releasing the button, the welding process stops. The four-stroke is particularly useful in the case of long weld seams, as well as during work when you need to maneuver the handle freely e.g. when welding the pipes. After pressing and releasing the button, the arc ignition occurs, and only after pressing and releasing again, the process ends.
BRAZE WELDING - is a method that is quite similar to MIG/MAG welding, but the energy supplied in this case is much lower. Braze welding is used to join thin metal sheets covered with a layer of zinc. The described method is a bonding process during which the solder melts, not the material we work with. The second part of the name, MIG/MAG, refers to the use of the method of melting the wire in an electric arc surrounded by shielding gas, and also to preparing the edge of the material in the same way as for traditional welding. However, the braze welding method is used not only to bond the galvanized metal sheets, but also the thin metal sheets made of stainless steel and various links, such as of acid-resistant steel with ordinary quality steel or of copper and steel.
ARC FORCE - is used to improve the arc stability and prevent "sticking" of the electrode. Reducing its value also reduces electricity consumption to some extent, the arc is soft and the depth of injection is reduced. This makes it easier to work with thinner materials. Similarly, by increasing ARC FORCE, the arc becomes more concentrated, melt, and the stability of the arc increases.
